Discovering Safyre

Hello Traveler, and welcome to Safyre!

Prepare yourself for a journey of healing transformation in a world filled with ever-changing settings, that change along with your emotional canvas.

Join Ashtyn, one of the oldest souls of this abandoned world who will guide you along the way and teach you to use your energy in a way that can help you bring choice to your perspective and heal the land that was once destroyed by an entity named The Neviden.

The Neviden craves healing, wandering the same ethereal landscapes. It seeks solace just as you do but its search takes a destructive path, devouring the light in its wake.

As you learn new tools for healing and transformation, you can repair this land, if you're ready to face the fears that hold you back.

Episode one takes place in The Prefix, a space you get to build on and revisit whenever you need space for peace and solitude. Within this space, you will discover the intention of your journey ahead, bringing you one step closer to your chosen self: The person you came here to be.

Enter, The Prefix. A space that exists outside of time. An in-between of worlds.

Ashtyn (00:00:04)

Hello, traveler, and welcome to Safyre. Thank you for joining me in this space. My name is Ashtyn, and I'll be your guide for the journey ahead.

Visualize me however you'd like. I'm up to interpretation. Just like everything else here.

Ashtyn (00:00:25)

If you can't visualize using imagery, that's okay. Just listen to my voice and in a moment, you'll be surrounded by sounds that will paint the environment for you. This podcast uses immersive audio.

If you haven't already, please use your headphones for this experience. This world is a fantasy, one that you get to co-create. Here you can actualize what it's like to see through your subconscious mind as you explore this realm.

Your perspective determines your surroundings. So observe with intention and you'll see how your inner world is reflected in this one. Safyre is and always will be a safe space for wandering souls. But this world has been abandoned for a long time, and it's still recovering from a period of darkness. Embarking on the path of the traveler will help restore it.

Ashtyn (00:01:31)

All you need to do is lead with an open heart and let your mind follow. Only then will you become a true explorer of your own inner world. Here, you can remove the mask that weighs heavily on your spirit and work towards remembering who you came here to be. Each episode will take you through a unique setting filled with stories and healing energy that you can use to your advantage. There are meditations that will teach you to connect with your own unique energy, and take an active role in reclaiming yourself. Safyre is created, produced and narrated by Mar Tezak. Music is mixed by Adam IV and the trailer was animated by Sally Fousey. You can support the production of this podcast by visiting Safyre. Okay. Now find a comfortable position. Whether you're sitting up or laying down. Close your eyes. Open your third. And let's begin. Welcome to my sanctuary. I come here whenever I want to be alone. Unless, of course, I invite someone along. It exists in a space called the prefix, which acts as a transition between worlds.

Ashtyn (00:03:02)

The prefix can hold space for anything. It's good to have a place to go to that only you know of. Forests have always been my safe space, so I created a reflection of that for myself here. I usually wait until the traveler like yourself comes along for guidance.

Take a look around and observe the details in your surroundings. Let the sounds paint a picture of the space. You don't always need to see things to feel better. You can use your other senses too, if you'd like. Remember, your subconscious mind influences your perspective. Take notice of what it's trying to say.

For example, imagine the state of this forest. Is a denser open. Is a damp or dry. How does your perspective bring more meaning to it? Could a dry forest mean there's a lack of water in your inner world? Water reflecting emotion and intuition. Or maybe it was raining not too long ago. I personally like the feeling of mud between my toes, but that's just me.

Take more time to consider your surroundings.

Ashtyn (00:06:06)

Is the sun out? Is it dark? Do you feel warm or cold? Somewhere in between? Bringing more intention and presence into this world will help you make the most of the journey ahead.

There's no bell here to call your attention back. Only soft breezes and bird songs that wane in and out of focus. I'll let you reflect on the space for a minute. Give yourself the freedom to paint your surroundings.

Now that you're settled, I need you to be honest with yourself here. Why are you here? There's no right answer to this question. I'm just curious. Many souls drawn to this place come to me for answers. I don't have them. They do. And this journey can help them realize that. So tell me, why are you here? What do you want to experience? Maybe the answer will come to you later on. Or maybe you already know. I can't promise you that you'll find what you're looking for. But travelers I work with are usually willing to stick around until they find it.

Ashtyn moves through the forest, beckoning you to follow them.

Ashtyn (00:08:38)

Let's take a walk. Just past the clearing ahead is an old oak tree resting on a cliff overlooking Safyre. I bring travelers there at the beginning of their journey to see what they see. It gives me an idea of how to support them.

Each traveler's journey is different. That's why it's important to reflect on why you're here. Many travelers coming from Earth tend to question if they're on the right path or not. You can argue that there is no right path, or that every choice you make is part of the only path.

Either way, there's a uniqueness in your soul that carves a path for you. You just need to follow what feels aligned with it. This journey you take in Safyre will reflect that for you.

You and Ashtyn approach a great old Oak Tree with its branches hanging out far overhead.

***

And here we are. The oak tree.

Ashtyn places their hand on the trunk.

Hello, friend. It's always good manners to be kind to the trees in the forest. They really do bring a lot of healing to this world. Place your hand on the trunk to say hello. After all, trees are our friends.

You step towards the tree and place your hand on the trunk.

Ashtyn (00:10:12)

Have you ever tried to correlate with trees? You can get so much out of just breathing with them. Try it. Take a deep breath in drawing and its healing energy into your palm, through your arms, into your heart, and exhale out from your heart, into your arm. Through your palm. Back to the tree. There you go. Do you feel any sensations doing that?

Sometimes I get pulsing feelings in my palms. It's okay if you don't. Join me on the cliff here. Don't worry. We won't stand too closely. Unless you want to.

You walk toward the edge of the cliff with Ashtyn.

We're very elevated up here. Far enough to see anything we want from a different perspective. Can you see the clouds below? Notice how thick they are or if there are only a few. What do they look like? Remember, you don't need to use imagery to visualize these answers. If you soften your focus, you could see beyond them. What do you notice? Everyone sees differently. I think that's part of why I love it.

Ashtyn (00:12:26)

Here we are, both standing at the top of this cliff. What could be a beautiful sunrise on the ocean to me might be a memory or a vision of the future to you. Feel into that. There are no rules here. I hope you feel the beauty in what you see. Let's sit by the tree and ground for a minute.

You follow Ashtyn back towards the Oak Tree and sit back against it. You can feel its energy as you lean your back to its trunk.

Take a second to find a comfortable position. Feel the ground beneath you and the tree against your back. It feels good. There are so many ways to learn from nature, but we'll explore that another time. For now, just sit back, relax, and let your breath guide you. I'm sure you have a lot of questions. So let me explain this place a bit more. For what feels like an eternity. The world of Safyre was sealed off to anyone who existed outside of it. Before then. This desolate world used to be filled with souls coming from and going into different lives. Many of them came here to reunite with their soul, family or loved ones they've been grieving.

Ashtyn (00:14:50)

Others came here to live out non-physical lives. Stories that could help them process things that were too difficult to do in waking lives. It was a very peaceful place to be. So much to learn, so much to love. And nature has always been a present for us in Safyre. Trees would speak to those who listen. Water would heal them. Fire would transform them. Safyre has always held spirits close to its heart.

Eventually, the veil between the physical and the non-physical began to thin. As humans on Earth and other physical planets became more attuned to the spiritual realm. They became lighter, more aware of their experiences and intentions. They developed more purpose. But just as humanity grew in touch with the spiritual realm, those who lived in Safyre began to feel their egos or turn to them along with the pain they've left behind. And so with ego comes a sense of fear.

As you might know, when a collective is plagued by fear, they'll do anything they can to avoid it. They'll fight it, they'll run from it, or they hide from it.

Ashtyn (00:16:19)

But they won't face it. The more they focus on that, the bigger it becomes. Here in Safyre. When souls crossed over, they would become aware of everything. They would remember the lives they lived. The lessons they've learned and the love that was always there. As the veil between the physical and the non-physical began to thin. You can only imagine how these memories affected the egos that soon followed them.

Do you see those clouds below, off in the distance? The ones that are darker. That's an example of how fear manifests in this world. When these souls first discovered what their fear was doing, they tried their best to ignore it and instead focus on the relief and joy they felt being here.

Eventually became bigger and stronger. All their pain had become one entity. Its name was The Neviden. The Neviden is faceless, always shifting into something that would suit the fears of each person. It would weigh heavily over their shoulders and feed on their egos. They tried to work together to destroy it, but it looked different to everyone, so there was no specific way to do that.

Ashtyn (00:17:50)

It grew too big to ignore and too heavy to carry. So they put all their attention into an escape plan to finally rid themselves of The Neviden’s Grasp. They created a barrier that would seal off this world and leave the Neverland trapped within it. But by running away from Safyre, they knew they'd have to let go of the memories they had of themselves and each other. I was one of the few who chose to stay. We saw what The Neviden really was. It wasn't simple because it took a lot of vulnerability. But once we dropped into that, The Neviden was no longer this big, scary destroyer of Safyre. It was actually the essence of Safyre.

The force that caused fear and destruction among the spirits was the same force that brought joy and love to us. It just needed healing. But most of the others didn't want to believe that because it meant, well, being vulnerable. Now that the seal is lifted, travelers like yourself have been coming and going more frequently. It makes me think that maybe it isn't too late to restore this land.

Ashtyn (00:19:16)

Before you make a decision on whether or not you want to take this journey. I want to be transparent with you about something. As a traveler, you know that your role of self-discovery can help restore the parts of this world that were destroyed. But that also means you'll cross paths with The Neviden.

Those dark clouds in the distance, that's The Neviden making its presence known as it moves through the land. If you can shed light on the evidence and discover what it really is for you. You can transform yourself along the journey. The reason I asked why you're here is because many travelers come here for an escape. But this journey is about facing whatever you're trying to escape from.

So think of how you answered. It might give you an idea of what's to come. If you want to be held in a safe space that supports you in making your own changes and reclaiming yourself, Safyre can help you. I've been here for as long as my memory allows it, so as your guide, I'll make sure you're safe and heard on this journey.

Ashtyn (00:20:28)

Now, I've only known my experiences in this world, not yours. So forgive me if there are experiences I can't understand that you're trying to heal from. But I'll do my best to support you. All right, knowing all of this. Are you willing to take this journey? If this isn't something you want. You can leave now. Or you can come back another time. I'll still be here. If you are ready and willing. Then I'm happy to be your guide. I'll give you a moment to decide.

Ashtyn walks back towards the cliff, watching the clouds in the distance. You sit against the tree and contemplate your next steps. After a moment, you stand up, and walk over toward Ashtyn.

Okay. It's decided. Take my hand and we can begin your journey.

You take Ashtyn’s hand, and within moments, your surroundings begin to change before your eyes. The sounds of the birds, and the movement of leaves in the wind begin to glitch as a new setting begins to form in place.

A good start begins in The Prefix, where you can build a sanctuary of your own. The space we're in now will only be yours to visit. You can come here whenever you need. Time for solitude and reflection and build on it as much as you'd like. First, think for somewhere you'd like to be. Where do you feel calm and happiest? It could be someplace you know of or one that exists in your dreams and ideas.

Ashtyn (00:23:08)

What about this place brings you joy? Is there a favorite smell associated with this place? Maybe there are sounds that bring you peace here. Or textures that feel good to touch. Take the next minute to sink into this place. Notice the state of this place within the details. Are you inside or out? How much color is here? Are the colors bright or soft? Pay attention to how present the elements are. Air like a fresh breeze through an open window.

Ashtyn (00:25:23)

Maybe water in the form of a stream, or dripping from a faucet of a sink. Fire hanging overhead on a hot, sunny day. Our candle with a dancing flame. Earth could be the health of nature around you and the types of plants you see.

Ashtyn (00:26:03)

Just notice the details. Try not to force them.

This space is yours. Take a moment to lay down comfortably and feel your surroundings. Take a deep breath in and open yourself up to the love this place has for you. You can always come here when you need a moment of peace.

Ashtyn (00:27:23)

You can also use it to reflect on your mind. It can be a way to check in on yourself throughout the day. You only need a few minutes to really pay attention to the details, noticing what's present and what could be missing, and that could help you tend to your needs. As we begin your traveler's journey, you'll need to set an intention. That intention will be something you often come back to throughout your travels.

Think of something you'd like to change within yourself. This could be a perspective shift or something you'd like to embody more of in your life. Who do you want to be? And what does that look like? Now notice what comes up when I ask this next question. Don't try to force or analyze your answer. What needs to heal in order for that to happen. It could be something from the past, or it could be a pattern or belief. Something you wish to focus on for the duration of this journey. Visualize what that change looks like inside of you. Breathe into this change.

Ashtyn (00:30:15)

Notice where you feel it most in your body. Notice where there may be an absence of it in your body. It already exists within you. This journey is just about bringing it out more. Together. We'll walk this journey and bring this change to your reality. Whenever the change is threatened by fear or doubt, you will find that the evidence is close by and that will only be when you're ready to face it. But until then, we have a lot of exploring to do. Well done traveler. Thank you for showing up for yourself. Now look for a door in this space. It could be anywhere. Notice its color and what it's made of.

Ashtyn (00:32:09)

Let that come to mind.

Ashtyn (00:32:22)

In the middle of the door is a symbol, one that will remind you to bring this inner journey into your waking life. What symbol is that for you? Walking through the store will begin your traveler's journey.

Ashtyn (00:32:54)

Are you ready?

Ashtyn (00:32:59)

On the other side of this door, you'll find your body resting in the room you're currently in.

Ashtyn (00:33:06)

Take a step back into your body and come back to the space. With your eyes still closed. Take some time to gently move your body. Sway your head from side to side. Wiggle your toes and your fingers.

Take one last deep breath in. And on the exhale… open your eyes.

Thank you for showing up today. I hope this episode has brought you peace and a new understanding of what you came here to be.
